08/52: Mountain Bike Jump

08/52: Mountain Bike Jump

My little brother came back for the weekend and I had the opportunity to use my Elinchrom set to light him during a few jumps. During this shoot, I got to meet Team Suki! Also known as Jonathan, Bridget, and their Shiba, Suki. Big thanks to Jonathan for helping and assisting with this shot. It was a lot of fun! This was a long exposure shot at 1/60th.

Get Geeky:
Elinchrom Ranger Quadra, "S" Head bare camera right, 400ws, triggered with a cord. The light was held by Jonathan.

Sneak Peek: Vicki & Trevor

Sneak Peek: Vicki & Trevor

So, speaking of the Sekonic L358 in my Barbie shot, I used this handy dandy tool during my couple session this passed Saturday. This tool gave me hardly anything to edit and I feel I nailed almost every single exposure in the camera! Ahh.... Love my new light meter... :)

More photos to come from this shoot soon!

No flash for this shot! All natural light in the open shade. :D

07/52: Playing with old and new toys

07/52: Playing with old and new toys

My best friend gave me the Sekonic L358 for Christmas and I finally had time to play with it ;x. While trying to look for subjects to test the light meter, my best friend asked if I had any Barbies. I can't believe I actually found a Barbie and Ken doll in the closet... AND they are the bride and groom Barbies!! o.O I did a few test shots using the light meter and wow, what an amazing tool every photographer should have!

06/52: Elinchrom Test Shots

06/52: Elinchrom Test Shots

I picked up some new lighting equipment. I haven't had much time to play with them ever since I shot a wedding last weekend. This isn't a great picture and I'm still deciding if I want to keep the equipment or not. Took this shot really quick today since it's been a busy weekend.

Gear Used:
39" Elinchrom Deep Octa, Elinchrom Ranger Quadra, "S" Head, Triggered via wire, 50mm, 1/200, ISO100.. Can't remember what the power setting was.
