Sea of Green.

Sea of Green.

Okay, it's been a little while since my last upload, but i have a few from the peak district over the weekend. Went on a short 2 night hike, it's been too long since my last walk.

This time i went solo, took the camera and the dog. Fantastic area. Wandered up the moors near white peak, down a couple of Dales and through Eyam on the Sunday.

----------

Caught this shot whilst walking along Curbar/Baslow Edge, west of the moorland near Baslow in the Peaks. It's a climbing hotspot, with cliffs that fall into rolling woodlands, then hilly countryside as pictured.

Such a fantastic view from such a height.

This shot doesn't do it justice!

Most of the good shots from the weekend were taken here, at an abandoned shack off the motorway out of Eyam.

It was bizarre, the shack was corrugated iron, with partially built stone walls, with a welcome sign on the decaying gate, and a 'letterbox' nearby.

I have no idea why it's there, but it seemed like a good link to the plague disaster in Eyam during the 1660's. I read of a man who fled to a shack near Eyam moor to avoid the plague. Maybe he was pretty handy with bricks and mortar.

I think i over egged the contrast here. It's the look i was going for, but it's kinda excessive. Sorry.

Steven

A quick snap between sets at a recent gig.

Cheeky little bounce flash.

Steven was shooting along side us.

He was pretty bummed out after flashgun issues, we didn't have a great night on the flash front...
