I scanned them using a regular canon scanner. I leave the lid open. If it is day time you get a white background, if it is night-time (with the light switched off) you get a black background.
I started scanning objects when I was between cameras and I haven't stopped. I like the high resolutions and the narrow depth of field. Things look real but strange.
