the man himself... mr homer j simpson!

i'd heard about this promotion for months... and i knew that i HAD to be there. i was pretty busy this past weekend as a few stores across the country were converted from 7-elevens to kwik-e-marts and i didn't even realize until sunday night. naturally since i wasn't really doing anything after work that day, i decided to drive there despite burbank being about... 35 miles away. kinda goes to show what i'll do if i want to photograph something quite badly. brought my buddy saad and i was being really naive because i thought we would simply show up, walk in and there would be maybe 10 or 15 people... and it would take us maybe 15 minutes of looking around and then we'd be outta there and back to our own valley. silly me. we got there and there was this huuuuuuge line! naturally i knew that my buddy saad wouldn't want to wait so i took a few pics of the exterior and then i dropped off saad back in west covina... but cos i'm kinda stubborn and a bit crazy... i drove back to the 7-eleven and got in line. met a few folks there including one dude who actually works in a company that's producing the simpsons season series dvds. pretty cool eh? after about 45 mins in line... finally got inside and had a blast... grabbed some simpsons goodies, took a bunch of pics and then finally... i headed home. so lets see... i drove to burbank, then back to west covina, then back to burbank and then finally back to west covina... yep... i'm officially insane... haha! but there ya go... i had a lot of fun tonight and that's really what i'll take from all this. it will make a good story some day... or right now! can't wait for the movie!

damn, that's some good marketing there by them fox promotional... thingy people... geez, i must have had too many duff beers cos my brain is fried! (they didn't really have duff beers, but if they did, it would have been frikkin amazing!)
