The Old Lifeboat Station

Situated in Looe, Cornwall, stands the old Lifeboat station which was built in 1866. Its second Lifeboat 'The Ryder' served for twenty-eight years, right up until the station was closed in 1930, and during this time she was launched twelve times and saved thirty-seven lives. Today, the fully restored Ryder is the only surviving Standard Self-Righting Lifeboat in the country and is moored in Polperro Harbour as part of the Heritage Museum display.

Its that time of the year when I really don't do much building, but seeing as the weather has been terrible here in the UK, i've been stuck in the last few days. Another addition to the collection!

Do you have a PaB wall in your house or something, because you seem to have such an enormous collection.

Wow, this is really a work of art. Seriously, this is one of my favorite things from you. Plus the photography looks really good, especially without one of those map backgrounds :P I love the light blue mixed in there, with the tan and dark tan. It all works very well! Nice work!

This one reminds me so much of the classic nautical stories, and of old sea capitans and briney water. It IS blogged on Brick Town Talk, you'll just have to look for it on Wednesday! :P

There's nothing to say that hasn't already been said, so let me just add that I agree with all the others. You never cease to amaze with these builds, this one might just be your best Legoput Lane build yet!

For those wondering about the Key piece, I have a box full of all the damaged and broken parts that I have gained over the years, mainly from buying people's old collections. So there's quite a few broken keys, chains, weopons etc, and I figured rather then throw them away I may as well use them for something.
