In other news - I've entered this year's Sharow Photographic comp. Have any of you lot? I'm sure there's a fair few of you who'd stand a better-than-decent chance of winning.

Winner receives £250 and is featured in Amateur Photographer magazine. Not open to full time professional photographers. £3 per photo entrance fee, minimum entrance fee of £6. There are 3 categories (Motion, Natural World and Portrait) which can be entered online, via an uploader, or an Open category, which requires a print be made and sent to the competition organisers. It closes at midnight on the 28th of May. There are extra prizes for prints taken in the local area (places with a postcode beginning HG or with the telephone area code 01423).

All proceeds go to Martin's House Children's Hospice and St. John's Church, Sharow.
