Born in 1925, he has experienced the second world war, financially growth in Norway and after working with whaling, he have experienced things youth today only can dream about.
He has so many stories to tell, and when his wife, my grandmother, died in 2010, he suddenly was diagnosed with dementia. After that, he started to tell us about everything he has experienced throughout his lifetime, and some of his stories are mindblowing. He is not only interesting himself, but he have such a great personality, and I can't think of a better role model.
This portrait show him exactly how he is. Empty. But underneath the skin, he is so much more. He is my granddad and a role model.
