Rest in peace, my beloved best friend

Rintin passed away in my arms at 4.44pm 13/12/11

Never again will I lose this much in life as I have lost today. Words cannot sum up the impact Rintin has had on me & those around her. A special dog in every way, Rintin fought on to the very end still wagging her tail with her eyes bright. I feel her presence now, & so shall her spirit remain at my side as it has done for these past 8 years.

Despite her deafness Rintin was born with an empathy & intuition that I have never seen in any other. I have been the luckiest man alive to be at her side from birth until her spirit was freed.

Rintins operation has succesfully stopped the chyle but a one litre a day fluid effusion continues to pour into her lungs. She is drained thrice daily & is in no pain.

We are trying a different drug with little known useage in dogs but it does seem to limit fluid production in dogs & treats chylothorax in humans.
It has until Monday to work or Rintin with have to undergo a further operation.

She is a special dog, a one in a million & I am hopeful she will be cured :)
