New visitor to my yard this year... Thought maybe Stretch would be a good name for him!

Bandit

Two racoons caught my attention today. They seemed to be having a spat. This one, I'll call Bandit, was lying in the water when I first saw them. He very carefully climbed out, without turning his back on the other. The other coon, Rocky, stayed on the shore, waiting for Bandit to come back out of the water.

Rocky Racoon

Rocky obviously chased Bandit into the pond. (He seems to have a torn nose).

Bandit

Bandit, the coon that was in the water... it may look like he's wading in, but actually, he's backing out!. Once out, he slowly backed up the path towards the bush, keeping his eye on Rocky.
