Rita Crane Photography: France / Paris / Eiffel Tower / sunset / / Eiffel Tower Silhouette, Paris

Reposting images .... for contacts who haven't seen this set....and because I miss Paris. Flickr is slow or not accessible most of the day for me right now. Have been struggling with a new internet company's satellite connection that makes it almost impossible to view Flickr during times of the day when there is high density use of the internet. But eventually I will manage to respond to your comments.

DESCRIPTION: Photo of the Eiffel Tower (La Tour Eiffel) taken in winter, at sunset. Photo prise en hiver, au coucher du soleil. It's hard to imagine how HUGE this structure is. No wonder half of Paris was dismayed when Eiffel's design was approved by the city and it was plunked down next to the Seine for the World's Fair 1898. One never knows what people will fall in love with though! :-) Having won the hearts of millions around the world it is now the symbol of the planet's most visited city. And it is definitely impressive to stand next to it. Thanks Monsieur Eiffel!
