I really love this bird, try so hard to get close to, but they certainly have a no-go zone. The light was beautiful yesterday and I managed to get some shots, cropped.

I go quite a few of this bird as he let me watch him. I am sure he knew I was there, I didn't bother hiding, just quietly sat and moved quietly around as he moved to different branches.

The other three herons, stood stock still and watched and waited for something, a fish I imagine.

Strange knee-jerk reaction shot from me as he suddenly flew in front of me. Though, a shadow went straight across the bird, wish it wasn't there.

Still thought I would show it.

Four of these guys, including a juvenile (will post later) - this is my pick. I got heaps of this guy as he fished in the morning light. First time I have been able to get images, I have seen them from a great distance.

So I am pretty wrapped. Off in the limo now to celebrate a girlfriends birthday, got me highheels on (probably fall over).
