Whether by accident, malice, or neglect everything seems to break at some time. Your challenge for this assignment is to find something broken (or break something just for the assignment) and compose a compelling image of the object. Keep in mind the context of the broken item(s) and how the whole scene may convey a story.
WIT: Some candy hearts broken and arranged on a red piece of paper. In post processing I worked with the contrast with a lomo action in PSE and a circular layer mask. And in plenty of time for valentines day.
