My favorite prize. . .second fave being the long-discontinued wooden pen.

This is actually much better than the pen, which screwed together in the middle and tended to become unscrewed while you were writing with it. Also, the pen said only "Loser," rather than The Style Invitational, The Washington Post, etc., not to mention the clever, mug-winning slogan.
