My collection of Civil Defense paraphenalia
The radiological test kit came from a school auction and a friend found the drinking water canister in a dumpster at our university. Since the canister was rusting severely, I clear-coated it with a rust-retardant spray paint, then added some color and a pillow on top to make it a cat perch.

Repurposed card catalog
I added wheels, stained the majority of the cabinet, and painted the drawer fronts. Voila! Coffee table.
