Most people here in Singapore love Minced Meat fish ball noodle. They eat it during lunch and dinner. The practice is to hang the slaughtered and roasted chicken (whole chicken with the heads still intact) with hooks as window displays in front of their stalls to entice customers. Not a sight to be endeared by many foreigners. These stalls are usually located in hawker centers or neighborhood food centers. While a bowl of noodle would only cost SGD3 to SGD4. Not very expensive.

I did something new for this sketch. I used a Lamy instead of my usual Hero fountain pen. Then I experimented with Winsor & Newton color inks. Their brilliancy was wonderful to work with. But I toned the colors down as I wasn't used to bright colors yet. But I will continue to experiment more.

There was a couple sitting in the restaurant just across where we sat. I was intrigued by the man and his looks so I decided to sketch his head a little bigger just like the way you would in a cartoon caricature.
