Bank of America security giving me the finger during the Iraq war protest
I started to take a photo of the Bank of America which had been closed because of the protest and they told me I wasn't allowed to.
I explained I was on a public sidewalk. One of them gestured to an
imaginary
line which they said was the Bank of America's property. Even if that
was the case, I was a few feet beyond it.
I started taking some photos and they certainly didn't represent the Bank of America in a very favorable way (ie. like complete assholes). And now these photos are tagged Bank of America and will come up in searches.
I then noticed that red paint had been thrown high up on the window. Still, pretty mild compared to some of the Vietnam era protests against B of A.

And in America you give someone with such an attitude a gun?
lightboxdc (51 months ago | reply)
You should find some contact info for the security company, and send them a link to this page. Same for Bank of America, contact for their management in SF that is responsible for managing their security contractors.

Can you please contact the SFPD about this. I'd like to know their badge numbers and rate them on ratemycop.com

These weren't SFPD (who had their own problems, particularly during the die-in).
They were private security guards hired by Bank of America. While I wish I had thought to take a closeup of one of their arm patches, it looks like they are from Wackenhut Corp www.g4s.com/usw
And it doesn't look like they lived up Professionalism with Integrity (that bit of Orwellian doublespeak is actually their registered trademark).
This is an interesting article (though not directly related since there
were plenty of actual police there)
More security firms getting police powers

I'll try and find contacts for both B of A and Wackenhut tomorrow (today is just too busy).

I'd love to see the blown up part of the photo that definitively shows what co. they worked for and give them a piece of my mind. Keep fighting the good fight Steve!

Send them to the Bank of America Iraq branch.... & see how long that finger lasts.

Only working security in America because they haven't got the training or balls to go to Iraq. It still astounds me that private guards in the U.S can carry guns, especially with an attitude like these guys have.
Send the images to the heads of security at their company and Bank of America. Bank of America staff abusing American citizens, would make a lovely front page for their brochure for the next shareholders meetings.
Steve Rhodes (51 months ago | reply)
Well, we don't know if they've served in the military or not.
At least some people from the Bank of America have looked at the photos according the my flickr stats logs.
I'll try and track down the people to contact next week.
lightboxdc (51 months ago | reply)
Purely from Bank of America's perspective, these guards should be let go. They obviously went out of their way to aggravate the public in what was a very tense situation. By behaving in this manner, they risked the safety of BA's property, customers and reputation, all for the sake of indulging their own childish outburst. Very unprofessional, and a complete failure of their duties to protect BA's property and customers.

"The Bank" is chock full of arrogant and abusive employees who probably will break out the champagne for these guys. They're a perfect fit for this outfit.

I like this photo. We've always known that this is what the big banks think of the average customer, and it's nice of them to finally display it out in the open.

am currently employeed by G4S Wackenhut and am reenlisted in the U.S. military until 2013. These pathetic excuses for protection disgust me and bring shame upon those in the security industry. I've looked closely at their uniforms which are NOT those of Wackenhut. G4S is one of our nations leading employers for transitioning military personnel, and this type of behavior DOES NOT represent the attitude of those employeed by G4S. I honestly hope they have been fired...what douchebags. I apologize deeply for these moronic sloth nuts and hope you never have to deal with this type of behavior from those in the security industry again.

i would be more than happy to send these to the bank of america if you have not already. while i do not see any lewd or unprofessional gestures made by the man on the left, (the african american) i am pretty sure there will be a law suit or diusmissal of some sort for the man on the right. Due only to his two lewd photos

People from BofA saw the photos when I posted them. There were referrers from their internal email system.
I never was contacted by them or the security company. There was no lawsuit because I wasn't interested in filing one. Don't know if they are still working for the security company.
grgmsii (42 months ago | reply)
glad to know that BofA saw the pics. thanks for that piece of mind.
hope all is well.

Ha! I read long ago that people who expose the middle finger in public usually live to regret it.
That said, looks like the attitude of BOA to me. The stock operations of BOA through Q&R do that to people figuratively on a regular basis.

Bunch of asshats. The "guard" in front of the BofA at Market & New Montgomery tried to tell me I could not take photos. He took my photos so that he could report me when the bank was robbed as a suspect.

Please help me send a message to BofA which states, that we will no longer tolerate their potentially irregular, fraudulent and abusive business practices. In the end, the American tax payer did not fail to deliver the BofA bail out in record time, but BofA failed to deliver the American Tax Payer’s bail out in the form of a loan modification. BofA reminds me of that song by John Lennon and George Harrison titled "Piggies" I invite you to listen to this song on youtube and see if it appropriately fits.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIopI2isIKc&featu re=related&l...
Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.
Have you seen the bigger piggies
In their starched white shirts
You will find the bigger piggies
Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.
In their ties with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.
Everywhere there's lots of piggies
Living piggy lives
You can see them out for dinner
With their piggy wives
Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.
Bank of America Lawsuit At: news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20100323/bs_prweb/prwe b3766544_1
When I filed my lawsuit against Bank of America, myself and United Law Group thought of the many others out there in the same situation. It was then that we decided to educate the public on what these piggy banks are doing, as well as unite us all together as one voice. Please help me turn this David vs. Goliath modification process, into a Goliath vs. Goliath.
Please stand with me and United Law Group and send an email to Bank of America that states that we will no longer tolerate their potentially illegal, fraudulent, irregular and abusive business methods.
Divided we might have fell America, but united we must stand!
Please send your email directly to Bank of America and include the following:
1. Your name
2. Your complaint concerning your experience with Bank of America.
3. Please end your email “I support John Wright vs. BofA Lawsuit!”
4. Please send a copy of your email to johns-wright@hotmail.com
I will view your comments and see if there is anything that would add to the class action suit United Law Group might be filing.
Please send your email today to Bank of America at:

I wouldn't react well to someone taking my photo against my will. They weren't in the right, but you were probably pressing the wrong buttons at the wrong time. Reasonably speaking, you were probably both looking to be in a pissing contest.
Too bad you both got what you were looking for.
