Perhaps the world's largest. In any case the largest I've ever seen. In the Guadalupe neighborhood, San Antonio, TX

The Veladora of Our Lady of Guadalupe was created by San Antonio artist Jesse Trevino, who also did the "Spirit of Healing" on the side of Santa Rosa Hospital.
Trevino's story is inspirational. He grew up on San Antonio's Westside and went on to study art in NYC. Vietnam interrupted his studies and nearly put an end to his career due to a booby trap that took his right hand three months into his tour of duty. He had to learn to draw all over again. He went on to become the first Mexican-American to be exhibited at the Smithsonian. His style is generally super-realist, but his more recent work has tended to murals.
Contrary to previous posted comments (that can be chalked up to ignorance of hispanic culture and Jesse's background), it most definitely is NOT intended to help sell stuff and attract tourists. It is a devotional to the Virgin Mary, who is highly revered in the heart of San Antonio's Westside.
More info on Jesse and this mural can be found at:

I went to college with Jesse in the early to mid-'70s -- although I didn't know him well, I watched him paint a mural in the student union building at Our Lady of the Lake University, which is now the Bookstore. The mural is gone, too, unfortunately. I guess someone painted over it or knocked it down. I loved watching Jesse paint, and have been a fan of his work since those days. He's phenomenal!
