Golf Green Island

Newer Older

I’m not a golfer, but this was pretty cool — the world’s only golf green that is an island all to itself.

An amphibious vehicle brings the golfer over for the putt (below). There is even a sand trap behind the green as we discovered on an off-hours trek out there.

ATTENTION SPAMMERS: your account will be deleted if you post golf ads here. Amazing to me how this one photo gathers all the low life out there... =)

Only if you stop asking. :)

The other photo is private only because I don't want to clutter my photostream with derivative photos like this. It could use a crop-zoom... Just replaced it with that...

    No Christmas tree, however.

cool idea, but seems like it would a lot of work to ferry people/lawn mowers over there.

Steve, planning a trip to Hualalai and using some of your photos to make the announcement to the family. These last couple shots of yours have got me thinking Punta Mita, though. Thoughts on how they compare? Thanks in advance.

I like a Hualalai a bit more (if traveling with kids) . The vog sunsets can't be beat.

There is only one more island green that I know of like this but a harder shot and beautiful scenery. I have played and scene in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho's beautiful Rocky Mountains. Plus you have to take a boat out to put your shot because it green "floats" on the water and they can move to change the distance. Can you believe that?
