Wait, isn't that EARLY? Egads! Nice shot though. You even got a bee!

Beautiful shot Steve! Nice timing with the bee too. :D

Not early for No Cal. They only really get a month or so of Winter. No fall season to speak of either. Sort of a 8 month long Spring really.

I really like the light in this shot. There is no direct sunlight to overexpose the flowers or surrounding background and it has a nice effect against the white flowers.

I agree with all the above... this is a favorite for me. Excellent job, Steve!

I was going to post the same thing as my paisano: great detail and color.

      Are these cherry flowers?

    17. my soul (89 months ago | reply)

      wow- fantastic

    18. jurvetson (88 months ago | reply)

      merci beaucoup.

Nell: I thought they were cherry blossoms, but our cherry trees have not even started blooming yet. So it may be a different type of cherry blossom, or perhaps plum. I am no expert on these matters.

I can identify the bee though! =)

another great bee shot - I'm jealous, our late winter is still far from over and the hives are all hibernating so no new bee macros from me for some time - I'll stick to the ice formations...

It's so good with the blue too - it just adds to the vividness of the white petals. Lovely.
