Shakespearience at the Almonte

Our young friend Natalina and her friends perform scenes from Shakespeare for family and friends at the Almonte Club House in Mill Valley on November 13, 2016.

This work in progress is part of ‘Shakespearience’, an after-school theater workshop directed by their teacher Kitty Thompson, a classical actor.

They played a variety of scenes, with Natalina performing as Lady Macbeth. Her second monologue was very moving. She reached deep into some painful places, which was very brave of her. I’m impressed with her ability to make us feel the character at that level, and hope she’ll keep developing her talents in that space.

Kudos to Kitty and Scott for bringing Shakespeare's works to life with their students. Good for them!
