Sudan 2006 - 2007 |
Photos from when I was working as an
osteologist with SARS, i.e. the Sudan
Archaeological Research Society (www.sudarchrs.org.uk/index.htm). Most of these were taken in the
Fourth Cataract region of the Nile, in
the SARS concession of the Merowe Dam
Archaeological Salvage Project.
The project, in its last field season, was launched by the Sudanese National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums (NCAM) in an effort to rescue the archaeological remains from the area to be flooded by the Merowe Dam.
