Mask of Light
This is my submission to Peggy contest. It is a sculpture made of
acrylic rods so that can transport the light that comes from
individual leds controlled by a Peggy board. The programming will
simulate the movement of light and the creation of shadows within a
day the structure. Maybe it will adjust automatically to the actual
coordinates in which the work will be presented, as some sort of
sundial. The hour as well the time of the year would been seen in the
light intensity variation of the leds.
I change the pattern of the leds and put them out the board in a metal plate so the piece could acquire more density hence more definition.
Everything is done except the program and the installation of the leds, I create the sculpture so it could be the recipient of variable interpretation.
The piece can be described as an integration of two modules, one aesthetic (acrylic face), and the other is the logic module made from the board, leds and the program.
I summit some raw renders and you can download a deeper description of the platform through my dropbox.
