Morning all!
Hope you've all got nice weekends ahead!
Mum and Dad are coming up today, Dads got a customer north of Manchester so they're picking me up on the way and after the customer we're going to have a day out somewhere which will be nice! Hopefully the weather will be kind.

So yesterday I got up and it was pouring. Around lunch time I went into town in order to make my video on the tram journey which I had to do for Monday. I've uploaded that here too so I can play it on Monday without taking my computer in.
It was pouring as I left and then started to ease off when I got to Salford Quays and then brightened up a bit on the way back. I got off at Castlefield and wandered around and took a few shots of the Hilton as I thought it looked pretty nice in the late afternoon light. Had a play in Lightroom with it too.
Went out for some drinks last night which was good too.

Hi all, Happy Friday!
Just wanted to say thanks first of all, for all the words of good luck and encouragement yesterday! Very nice to read! I think it went pretty well so it obviously paid off! :) Thanks again guys!

Not much to say about yesterday really, got up, had breakfast, had lunch, did the exam, came back, had dinner, watched a film and went to bed! Woo. Livin' the dream!
Snapped this shot before I watched the film, I can't claim its my idea, i'd seen something similar before with a long exposure dragging the laptop shut slowly and i remembered it last night when I opened it up.
30 second exposure, f/8 and around 7 secs at each position. Simples!

Going to go back to the site today, well, past it, I have to record a journey to salford quays and back so I'll catch the tram and record my journey somehow I think. Also got to get a few things in town. Hopefuly a lot of photo chances along the way!
Then tonight we're going out for a meal and drinks to celebrate all the exams being over and also a birthday! Should be nice! :)

Hi all, hope all well!
Long old day yesterday. Revise revise revise! Think i'm saturated!

I took a photo around sunset of the clouds outside my window which i've put in the comments, but i wasn't happy with it so around 10ish I changed my mind and got another snap in. Thought it summed up my day pretty well. This is a composite of two shots, one required a lot of bending and twisting to make it fit over the other, I then did some masking in PS and got the other hand through.
Been using flash cards for most of the revision, App called ProVoc if you have an apple machine, very good IMO.
In other news, I got a reply from Park Cameras and said it wasn't normal to have dust on the sensor when its so new and consequently when I come back down in March they'll give it a thorough clean for me, free of charge. Think thats a result.
Not much else to report! Lets do this exam!

Hi guys, hope all well!
Long old, slow day yesterday. It was miserable all day. I got up earlyish as I thought i'd work in the morning, go to town for lunch and then come back to work, the weather made me changed my mind, stayed inside all day pretty much. I went for a walk around lunch and braved the drizzle just in the park (which i wish i discovered earlier!) over the road. Played around with a few ICM shots again. Think this was the best, theres a part just left of the centre which looks like its sprung out of nowhere... Used the same 'recipe' as the last ones, think i've just about done this scheme to death now, time to try a few more!
Spent the day revising and doing a few past papers. Getting there!
Also got an email telling us what is required for Monday, we have Friday, Sat and Sun to do loads. Why our tutor couldn't have told us two weeks ago so we could have got cracking on it is beyond me... ah well. Going to be a LOOOOONG weekend but there are a few nice plans as all the exams will be done by then. Going to have to return to the site though.
Another day revising today, fine tuning!
