what i love about this camera is the crazy wide perspective -- it just adds so much context to an image (if done properly) -- i think this is from my 4th roll, and i'm just in love with the camera -- it is PERFECT for the sort of photography i've been doing for the last 4 or 5 years - documenting my family life so that we'll have lots of memories to share as we all grow older - and it'll be fun to talk about the way things looked "in the olden days" - as leah likes to say...

i took this 4 years ago -- with a little canon ql 17 giii -- i think it was tmax - and xtol - if memory serves me... it's hard to remember leah that small -- but she watched over her sister like a hawk (still does -- but mae is now big enough to be leah's body guard :-) ) -- time flies by sooo quickly... i'm trying to organize a nice book to commemorate mae's 5th birthday (it's not until november, so i have some time) -- i have lots of images to choose from - so many memories..

another perspective of lady niggles (we're big fans of downton abbey -- if you are, too - didn't you just love the final episode??!) ...

i have to figure out a way to index / catalog my images. i have thousands of images of mae from the time she was born and it's nearly impossible to find anything quickly. i've done a HORRIFIC job of cataloging my negatives, too -- i have boxes and notebooks filled to the brim - and that's just from the last 4 years... i'm hoping to train mae to be my assistant :-) -- i have a lot of printing to do -- but if i can't find the negatives - that makes it kind of hard...

this is one of my all-time favorite photos of mae. when she was a newborn, we took her everywhere with us - and she never fussed - much. she mostly slept - wherever we put her. i have a whole collection of photos of her sleeping on various restaurant tables -- but this is my favorite.

i love her more than the best seat in the house at Nobu in NYC...
