Saw these last weekend at a local winery and had to go back with the macro to get the curly petal details. They look like normal daisies in 3D, but with the golden light of sundown they took on a glow of their own.

It's a mystery to me how the colors came SOOC.

Enough about complaining of things unavailable and back to something positive. This doesn't do justice to the abundance of blossoms in the almond grove, but we were able to find some long shadows and with Trina's advice, I got a decent flare. A little more help from Viveza, and I was able to get some blue back in the sky.

SG and I won this last night for a collaborative photo. It's the first consumer lighfield camera and allows the viewer to change the focus after the image is captured. It's a slide-it-yourself sort of thing. I was so excited I wanted to take an image for Fence Friday and Sliders Sunday. But alas, it only works on Macs and not on Windows. Totally bummed. Why even bother cleaning the dust off the thing.
