over an icy Laguna de los Tres, in a very rare moment without clouds around the mountain's peak.
For these clouds, that stay around the peak despite the very strong and almost constant western wind, the Aonikenk - ancient inhabitants of the region - named this mountain Chalten, that means "smoking mountain", volcano.
After climbing the long and steep trail we were truly lucky being blessed by this (not too prolonged) cloudless vision.
