While vacationing in Bali, I looked up only to be greeted by perhaps one of the clearest night skies that I have ever seen. Having lived most of my life in dense cities where the light pollution turned night into day, seeing a star other than Sirius was an absolute experience. You can see the constellation Orion in the center framed by the beautiful trees.

I went for a swim in the vast ocean and encountered an area where the water was unbelievably shallow. As a word of warning, always look before you step :P

I went to the Maldives during my winter break and enjoyed every second of it. The abundant sunshine and the crystal clear waters were just as advertised in photos and commercials. Even better might I add! This little island in this shot is the famous Four Season "Island Spa". You need to reach it by traveling in a small boat.
