2012 Review - Top 50 Builds
Here are my top 50 builds for 2012!
It’s been an absolutely crazy awesome LEGO year for me. As I look back and reflect on what I was able to do and accomplish, I think the thing that sticks out most in my mind are the people. Everyone out there in on Flickr: we’ve shared so many pictures and silly times, people from Eurobricks: have we have spent so much time doing both the important and the irrelevant, Brickworld and BrickCon people – you know how to throw one hell of a party, local ToroLUG and Toronto LEGO folks: best crew to hang out with ever.
I am still utterly amazed at the last year; I’ve done so many things I didn’t think was even possible for someone like me, but here are some highlights I don’t want to forget:
Doing LEGO store Windows – My secret joy is getting the privilege to create and display at my home store(s)
A year of Guilds of Historica – watching and help shape this collaborative build and seeing the progress and builds from individual was vastly satisfying.
Brickworld - Road tripping with the ToroLUG crew to Chicago, hanging out with idols, friends, new friends and of course Brickworld Master title.
Blogged by The Brothers Brick – OMG people like what I build :O
BrickCon – Flying with MOC’s -oh my. What an adventure, and meeting whole new set of idols, friends and new friends (and of course stealing two questionable trophies)
Iron Builder – My most creative, painful and productive LEGO month ever.
Creations for Charity – I was finally give back to the community that has given me so much…
Beyond The Brick – Apparently long windiness is an admirable attribute on internet radio…
I seriously thank you all for just being you. No individual makes the LEGO community great, but the whole lot of us – and thank you for letting me join in the fun!
See you all next year.
