Time to take a break from Bolivia and go back to 2005 when I visited Guatemala. I had just purchased my Canon Digital Rebel, and it was still the time when I would change the ISO and forget that I had done that. Sigh. Nicer large. Note: geotag isnot accurate. See my Tikal shots.
Today is the first time I've seen these photos in years and there are quite a few nice ones. Our first stop was Antigua, the old capital of Guatemala. Antigua is a really lovely city with very nice restaurants, and well kept colonial buildings.
This is a shot of one of the many tourist craft stores. This is not the best image of Antigua, but I was curious to see what Photomatix would do with this one. As I was afraid, the first Digital Rebel has a very noisy sensor, and Photomatix greatly amplified the noise given the rather dark RAW image. Imagenomic Noiseware in the strongest setting was able to produce a nice image. Used Nik Pro Contrast and a touch of Tonal Contrast and a bit of burning around the edges.
