Tell Me Something Google Doesn't Know
It is hard to find someone that does not have a protective outer layer, a wall of facts and knowledge and internet presence and book smarts that seem to show off who they are. We all tend to display something to the world that shows who we “are” yet how many people actually get beyond that outer skin and know the real us. Its fine to present ourselves to the world, indeed we cannot get to know more than maybe 5-15 people in depth. But are we even retaining that in this new fast paced world? I ask in order to spark an interest in you to really get to know some people, really delve into who they are, and maybe even walk the line to share something deep about yourself. We all have hopes and fears, why not realize we share the same things and lean on each other?
So this is my new friend Seth Grass, and he is an incredible musician! Check him out and buy his awesome music :D So this shoot is inspired by some of his lyrics, one being the title of this photo, and the whole idea as I interpreted it is written above. I am so happy to be working with him… we both feed off each others creativity quite well! I mean… he allowed me to paper machete him! Anyhow, he’ll be moving to L.A. to record a new album, and he will be needing photos to really represent him in different ways while he’s there. That’s where I came in :) SO, look forward to some wild stuff in the near future, we’re pretty boundless with ideas!

i doubt anyone really knows anyone as well as people used to know each other, because a lot of us know each other from forums such as this, where we can write anything we want about ourselves and the rest have to take it at 'face' value. the best way to get to know someone i think, is to go travel with them.

see...i love this so much. except i always cringe when i see book pages...torn out of a book. its sad to me. You did a fantastic job covering him though.

this is incredible. the creativity is exploding but more than that the outcome is amazing. I loved the description because I couldn't agree more. Nowadays getting to know someone beyond the simple facts is not something usual to find someone doing. I try, and try, but people are getting tougher and it gets too damn hard. I love the outcome so much, the focus is driving me crazy and so is his expression. Amazing.
