doublewinky - sorry, there is no pattern. It's more or less a trial and error project. You crochet around a paper ball (hide the knots where you joined the yarn on the inside while working). Instead of binding off when you are done, make about 20 chain stitches, add another 4 to 5 and join these to form a ring so you can start crocheting around the next paper ball. Hope that makes any sense...
