The hotel was until around the mid-2000's a member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World! - At the time many other Mandarin Oriental Hotels around the world had been members of the same affiliation! Today in 2009, there is not one Mandarin Oriental to be found under the roof of The Leading Hotels of the World! Many would say that this hotel-chain is now self-sufficient! Geneva in 2009 and the question of memberships in the hospitality business!
