Golden Gate Bridge Approach
I work in downtown San Francisco, high up enough that my office has a view of the bay. From my window you can see a panorama that stretches from the top of the Mark Hopkins hotel, over to a partial view of the Golden Gate Bridge, all the way to the lighthouse on Alcatraz. Not bad, right? The downside – from the perspective of someone who loves photography – is that I'm always seeing great photo opportunities when I’m at work and can’t get out to shoot.
On Monday afternoon last week, for example, I noticed low fog starting to roll under the Golden Gate Bridge, setting up some great shots. But by the time I was able to leave work and get over to the bridge I’d missed all the good light. Luckily the fog kept rolling for hours after sunset, and I tried to make the best of it by getting some night shots. More to follow.
