Wonderful processing - very dramatic, it really lifts the composition.

You don't happen to know Daníel Bergmann do you ? He lives in Stykkishólmur :-)

It seems to me that Iceland is just about the place for me to live. I really like the icy colors and cold atmospheres. Nice job!

Nice title, Helga, and it certainly appears as chaos with all those birds. But it's not chaos. They move in unison and never touch. It's the instinct of swarming. I tried it once, and bumped my head.

Hey girl stop it :)!!! After all i decided to drop comment to your picture - not because i love it, but to say you how your work changed my life. Since that i first time visited your gallery about 2 months ago, i couldn't resist to stop by again and wonder about your beautiful country while seeing your excellent work.
That it came, it came slowly and I didn't see it coming. But 2 weeks ago i finally decided and applied for a job in Iceland. And guess what? I got it. Even thought I am starting on June 2007 I am already too excited, trying to get some additional lenses for my camera, dreaming about torn Icelandic landscapes and putting green cokin filter on my lamp to simulate aura borealis :).
So now you know why you have to stop, because if not Iceland will be soon full of crazy photographers like me.
This place - Snaefellsnes peninsula will be my new home soon, so I hope to see you around some day.

Sorry, not many pictures on my flickr account, but i am building my own photo gallery which should be ready soon.

Ah, you have read Jeffers (or at least a bit of Jeffers)? He was archetypally singular & perhaps only possible (his birth, being, & existence) in what was once America.

Notwithstanding his timeless genius (& to me hugely appealing & identifiable misanthropism) not many people, American or European, can say as much.

Breathtaking pairing of image & (spare) text/words.

It reminds me of the fake lyrics of "Whishmaster" by Nightwish.

Oh, great job, of course! =)
