The Lady In Pink

The Lady In Pink

It was a sunny April day when I took photos of this elderly lady and her children and grandchildren. I was so excited to shoot in this beautiful field of daisies, but when I sat down later that day to edit- I was somewhat overwhelmed by all the colors jumping out at me. Her dress was pink silk and the color of the grass was one of those viridescent shades you only see in the springtime. Though I loved the color- I set this one in sepia to draw attention to her fascinating expression. She is truly one of those people who smile with their eyes.

Have you ever focused on grains of sand before? They seem dull at first, but prove to be excellent subjects.
