      Fantastic shot - I love the way the depth of field and colour drop off providing a wonderful sense of scale as experienced by the mite! Nicely composed too!

      I love red velvet mites. I made a friend of one I found in West Africa just after the first rains. It was such a surprise. Beautiful velvetty little raisin creatures. This photo was taken on my birthday too. Definite favorite.
