A million? Proof positive that cons can't count. The best estimates are that 60,000 to 70,000 showed up. And that's not to say that 60,000 isn't a huge number, and it would be impressive if it were at all indicative of the national mood, but the fact is, 77% of the country wants a public option as part of the health care reform. So, finding a small sliver of the 23% of people who want the insurance companies to keep screwing people over and letting them die and/or ruining them financially isn't very impressive...

You are angry at the entire "white" race for things individuals did, in the PAST, which are not relevant to this "discussion". That "mob", archerland2005, did have just as many African Americans, Hispanics, and Asians as "white". PLENTY were young, and how, exactly, do people look when they are on Medicaid/Medicare?? Perhaps this particular lady was protesting President Obama himself, his ancestry, or his policies. We may never know. This sign is very confusing, and only one of thousands upon thousands upon thousands that marched Semptember 12th. I am truly sorry that many people think this march was a bunch of old, hypocritical, racist loudmouths. It was not, in any way, shape or form. They protested the takeover of secular progressive thought in the country, and the irresponsiblity of our elected officals. If there were a few (or more) racists individuals in the mass, then we should pray for them. NO ONE should be in any way have their skin color taken account of when being in the public square. P.S. I really despise the words "white" and "black" when refering to people. My skin is most certainly not white, and President Obama's skin is most certainly not black.

QuietCommentator, India may have been the cradle of civilization - although most people put that in Sumeria or Babylon - but the earliest cromagnon skeleton in India is almost 1.2 million years NEWER than similar skeletons found in sub-Saharan Africa.

But then again, that's only if you live in an evidence-based world and believe in carbon dating. If not, go ahead and believe whatever reinforces your political dogma best, facts be damned.
