Nigeria Head

    This sculpture of a head was found in Nigeria and was the subject of long discussion if art like this could come from Africa. After finding several similar sculptures it's clear today that this is from the Ife culture, 12-15th century.

    Taken in the museum center in Berlin-Dahlem.

    I edited out the background and put it on black.

    Part of the Ethnologisches Museum Dahlem set.
