Cygnets
Last babies of the day, two of the seven mute swan cygnets, I was so pleased they brought them over to see me. One of the highlights of the year for me when you see cygnets for the first time, they certainly make you wait for 'em ! I'm desperate for a shot of them riding on mum's back but they only seem to do it on the first few days after hatching, they tried to clamber on but kept falling off........I heard the cuckoo again today, no chance of seeing it though.

Back out to the safety of open water, they tried to climb on and the adult kept wiggling it's tail as encouragement, I didn't see them onboard though

A beautiful beautiful shot of this adorable cygnets !! There's really something quite overwhelming when the parents bring the young over, as if to show them off with such pride!! An absolute privilege when it happens and a moment to treasure !! :o)

Gorgeous little things. Saw ten Goslings earlier at the roadside (it was a very quiet area though, plus mother was keeping a watchful eye on them all)
