Flowers of Winter

Flowers of Winter

It's been cold the last few days. And there's more to come. in the form of a snow cannon. It can hit coastal areas in early winter. Very cold air (from Russia in this case), travels over the warmer Baltic Sea, and that difference in temperature creates a snow cloud that hits coastal areas.Sounds like fun!

Lunchbreak Skiing

Lunchbreak Skiing

Åsa is a clever woman, and very fit. She lives at Kolartorp, and works at Osram in Jordbro. On her lunch-break she will sometimes go cross-country skiing at Lake Rudan. From her work place it is no more than a few minutes walk to the ski track. When I met her today she was on her way back to the office. She told me that she has been jogging, skiing and working out at the gym for most of her life. She has taken part in the annual Vasaloppet race a number of times. If you don't know it, it is a long distance (90 km) cross-country ski race that takes place on the first Sunday in March every year.
