The surreal nature of this greatly appeals to me.

where exactely is this sofa? I would like to look at it on a map.

    8. Jeff__ (74 months ago | reply)

I wonder how the view is from the sofa's perspective. Nice shot!

      Thanks everyone.

JP-- I invite you to be the one to sit on it's smelly, mouldy splendour and take that shot ;)

dirigibleapedali, the sofa is, um... on the bike path by the Isar and between the Reichenbach brucke and <deutsche Museum, on the same side as the Au . Maybe mberneis can pin it more exactly?

this is sort of magical, sort of unreal, sort of a little bit really good and sort of a little bit going to stick in my head all day.

I especially like the little trail of cord, to the right of the couch...

    14. Resident on Earth (73 months ago | reply)

I was going to say the same thing about the trail of cord. Great minds think alike. :-)

I tried to figure it out with mappy but wasn't able. could you provide a picture taken from above (ex. from an airplane)?

    16. chelseagirl (73 months ago | reply)

      I assume you're joking...

    17. dirigibile (73 months ago | reply)

      a correct assumption.

    18. chelseagirl (73 months ago | reply)

      oh, whew !!!

    19. dirigibile (73 months ago | reply)

but I am still curious if I will ever meet this sofa. tryed to look for it on a map but wasn't able to locate. anyway I live to far.

    20. chelseagirl (73 months ago | reply)

I'd forget it. sofa is not on a map and despite how cool it looks here, it's just not worth a trip just to see it ;)

i like to walk at the isar... i live know in munic for five years... its funny to see places wich my hands maybee touched

    22. Vol-au-Vent (72 months ago | reply)

Cool as a pic but probably a real nuissance for the people living there. Macht den (Sitz)Platz ein wenig zur Abfallgrube!
But really nice shot - and so weird and surreal... with the trailing... oh yeah, we said that already! :)

      How I found this photo:
RSS update of new Arcade Fire track, check last.fm for Intervention, google, download and play said track (fab!), check last.fm for other album tracks, AF banter, etc. Notice stratic, checked out his last.fmness. See your profile, check out your About Me section, clicky the linky to flickr. Most interesting, and spot the greenness :)

Incredible photo and I love your crop/capture. I find it really fascinating that a very unnatural object can really feel at home in such a natural environment.
