Crossing the Lions' Gate bridge between Vancouver's Stanley Park and North Vancouver.
This is shot through the windshield between wiper blade strokes. The rain was very heavy on the glass, which causes the distortion in the image. I have decided it is, in fact, a texture. As zxgirl points out below, the blue is caused by the tint in the windshield.
Frame size reduced on 29/11/07.

The rain definitely adds to the mood of this image. I assume the blueish part is from that strip across the top of the windshield? Until you said you took it through the windshield, I couldn't figure out how the sky could be blue but the wet street reflect gold! =)

Thanks everyone for your generous comments. I am always happy when people enjoy what I find interesting as well. For me, the neatest thing about this is the color and the towering cables. I love suspension bridges. They are such interesting architectural achievements, filled with beauty, curves and tension. Great to photograph. I don't recommend doing so while driving in heavy rain though.
