super shallow dof on a flower that is less than half an inch across. This effect is not to everyone's taste. I think of it as dreamy or daysreamy with the limited attention that comes with that. Impressionistic as well, perhaps. Unique to photography at this scale, though dog is used to great effect at larger scales bringing a whole object into focus against the blur of fore and background.

This is a funny shot. I don't know why the tonality is the way it is other than to suggest I was likely shooting through a lot of other dandelion seeds and things got refracted in the foreground.
