Raise 'Em Jay
This is my five-year old son, Evan, and his older sister, Abby, skiing down the Northway during late March 2009. It was the first time he rode the tram and skied from the summit. Evan should have been able to do this the year before, but he was still in the midst of more intensive treatment for his leukemia and didn't have the strength or stamina yet. Although it took an extra year, my little guy finally did it! I was so proud of him that I wrote about the whole episode and posted more pictures last spring on his CaringBridge page - www.caringbridge.org/visit/evanferrara . I love the way the two of them were oblivious to what their dad was feeling and just skied down the trail chatting and pointing - and pretty much ignoring their dad. It was one of the happiest ski days of my life!
