Want to hear a really sad and pathetic story?
You know those large red heart Bakelite brooches with the cherries coming out of them? Well, back in the 1970s, before I knew virtually anything about vintage and Bakelite, I found one of them at a St. Vincent DePaul's thrift. I bought it. Probably less than a dollar. I liked the heart, but I thought the cherries hanging out of them looked kinda lewd (what was wrong with me back then?!?). So I cut them off. OY!
