Quotes from a Great Teacher
And when I opened the windows of my room in the temple and was taken in awe at the view of a steep garden-mountain in front of me, the first thing that came to my head were these words from an excelled and venerable master known by almost everyone on the surface of Earth:
“When there is freedom from mechanical conditioning, there is
simplicity. The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and
tradition.
If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the
routine, the tradition, the shadow - you are not understanding
yourself.”
Wise words from the most mighty guide and most enlightened seer, his gracious excellency: Great Master Bruce Lee himself people! who else!

what temple did you stay at? looks nice. Still hoping I might make it up to do a Koyasan stay before I head out of Japan.

This one was a very simple room, just a table, a tatami floor and some cushions which really gets you in tune. The morning prayers last for 45 minutes as well, which is one of the longest around Koyasan.

G'Day Photopakismo,
What great photos do you take, always with amazing light effects. My question is about the place Henjoko-In. We are planning a holiday and like the place on Mt Koyasan. Have you more photos of the Henjoko that you can put up for us to view? How was the experience staying in the temple? interaction with Monks and prayers meditation etc? If we go by the photo above it does sound very promising.
Thanks Mate,
