Now that's a uniform!

Although this is Australia, common sense was telling me this gentleman might be a son of Britannia (since there were many participants from other countries as well and also due to the fact that I don't know a thing about military uniforms)

...but I just checked in the internetz and the tubes and apparently he belongs to the "Australian Army Band Corps" which uses this uniform.

Now I must say, this outfit looks absolutely "royale"

...the best part is that thing on the top of the helmet which adds a distinctive Kaiseresque touch...

Subtle, yet bellicose

Phantastic! The popping colours, the shallow DOF, everything!

Hi there all. The background of this photo looks like the park outside the RSL in Ipswich near Brisbane Qld., Aust. The date was28/6/2008 - reserve forces day parade. The gentleman is from the UK, his actual band I don't know. He is actually on exchange to the New Zealand Army and was attached to one of the reserve Artillary Bands. This NZ army resrerve band was in Brisbane and Ipswich for the two Reserve Forces Day parades in the last weekend of June 2008
