Walked in on Smoochie praying and reading the Bible...didn't know he was a Christian bear, but good to know (especially after all his gambling and antics in the past).

Smoochie is apparently at it again, after a hiatus of several years...found him playing with my jewelry...

Humongous praying mantis (I think?) that Melaku caught - that's his hand behind it. It gave me the heebie jeebies so much I told him he had to let it go.

He has another praying mantis that he caught about a month ago; he's been keeping it as a pet. He and Darren catch insects every day to feed it -- it's really cool to watch it stalk and catch and eat them. :) But it's only about half this bug's size, so I can take it.
