Was he doing this before you arrived, or in
response to you raising the camera? I expect
he's used to visitors who don't know
how/bother to turn the flash off on their
cameras and he's learnt to associate lifting
of cameras with being blinded.
However this photo was taken outdoors, the
light is sunshine, and the monkey can't have
seen me or my camera as I was standing at
least 10m away, peeking out behind a wall.
Under 'properties' you see that this photo
was taken at 200mm zoom.
But maybe there are monkeys who are smart
enough to anticipate camera flashes to go
