Writing through the rain

Escribiendo bajo la lluvia

Viseu (Portugal)

He was just one of many artists who was exiled to France just to be able to express himself freely without censorship, in a time when you could not speak your mind unless it had the approval of the political regime. So, he literally had to fight against all odds (and through the rain). He fled his homeland because he was against the monarchy. He was not allowed to have a voice in his own country.

Funny how it was 100 years ago, however, very similar events continue to occur, unfortunately, in many parts of the world.
